Major changes introduced in the Union Budget for FY 2025-26:

• New Regime Slabs: Standard Deduction increased to ₹75,000.
• Capital Gains: STCG increased to 20%, LTCG increased to 12.5%.
• Exemption Limit: LTCG exemption limit increased to ₹1.25 Lakhs.
• Rebate 87A: New Regime rebate threshold remains ₹7 Lakhs, with marginal relief.
